1/ Check the terms of your contract
Make sure your contract includes the free choice of practitioner clause. This option, often called "out-of-network," is essential for obtaining reimbursement if you consult a professional not listed in your insurer's approved providers (cuadro médico).
2/ Submit your invoice and proof of payment
After your session, simply send the paid invoice to your insurance company. Depending on your policy, most companies reimburse between 80% and 90% of the amount paid.
3/ Adjust your health insurance coverage if necessary
If your current contract does not cover out-of-network care, you are advised to contact your advisor. Modifying your health plan may be a wise move to benefit from better coverage and complete freedom in choosing your therapists.
